Gov. Bevin Appoints Bill Rudd as Magistrate for the Second District of Hopkins County

FRANKFORT, Ky. (Feb. 3, 2017) – Gov. Matt Bevin has appointed William “Bill” Edward Rudd, of Madisonville, as Magistrate for the Second District of Hopkins County, to replace Linda Todd.

A longtime Hopkins County resident, Rudd operated a real estate company in Madisonville for more than 30 years. Since 2012, he has served as a senior vice president and business development/commercial lender at First United Bank.

Rudd has chaired numerous community organizations, including the Madisonville Housing Authority, the Madisonville-Hopkins County Economic Development Board, and the Hopkins County Chamber of Commerce.

He shall serve until this position is filled in accordance with the results of the November 2018 midterm election, pursuant to the provisions of Section 152 of the Kentucky Constitution.
