FRANKFORT, Ky. (December 11, 2018) – The Department for Local Government (DLG) has announced an Area Development Fund (ADF) grant of $8,738.79 to the City of Williamsburg.

The grant will allow the city to be reimbursed for the purchase of two rear-load dumpsters and a new Cub Cadet riding lawn mower.

“These are essential items that will help keep the City of Williamsburg beautiful,” DLG Commissioner Sandra K. Dunahoo said. “I’m pleased DLG could assist with this purchase.”

“This purchase will help the city more effectively and efficiently maintain properties and manage waste,” Sen. Robert Stivers said. “This is a much-welcome investment.”

“I’d like to thank Commissioner Dunahoo and her staff for making these funds available for the City of Williamsburg,” Rep. Regina Huff said. “Any grant funding the city can secure is a huge win.”

The ADF Grant program was established by the 1976 Kentucky General Assembly to fund projects that contribute to community or industrial development. The funds are administered by DLG, an arm of the Office of the Governor dedicated to supporting local officials and communities. For more information, visit dlg.ky.gov.
