Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) is Now Accepting Applications for Two Summer Study Programs
 
Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) Summer STEM Program
What:
A unique residential learning program for Appalachian students and teachers focusing on STEM disciplines. Students participate in science, math, and computer science technology group research projects with award-winning scientists.
When:
July 5-17, 2020- High School Students & Teachers
July 11-17, 2020- Middle School Students
Where:
Oak Ridge Associated Universities (ORAU) in Oak Ridge, Tennessee
Included:
Students receive transportation to attend, full room and board, and all expenses related to lab work and field trips. Teachers receive the same package, plus a $1,000 stipend.
The deadline to apply is Feb. 28, 2020.



Appalachian Entrepreneurship Academy (AEA)
Who:
Appalachia's high school seniors enrolled in the 2020-2021 school year.
What:
AEA is a residential summer program for Appalachia's next generation of innovators and entrepreneurs, providing an opportunity for skill building tutorials in business planning, product development, and idea modeling.
When:
July 6-31, 2020
Where:
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Included:
Transportation to, from, and within Pittsburgh and full room and board, including meals and activities.
The deadline to apply is March 6, 2020.
