Grant Agreement Conferences have been held for most of the cities and counties who were approved for 2013 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding in the areas of Public Facilities, Community Project and Housing. The conferences are held with the respective Mayors, County Judge/Executives, engineers and other local officials administering the projects to review grant agreement documents and discuss the requirements of the federal funding program. The Office of Federal Grants is committed to providing technical assistance to all grant recipients to ensure the successful completion of projects.

Pictured are the representatives attending the Grant Agreement Conference in DLG’s conference room for the city of Burgin Sewer Extension project. They are from left to right: Jennifer Peters, DLG; Michael Davis, Strand Associates; Bob Casher, BGADD; Don Hassall, BGADD; Leann Lacy, BGADD; Mike Sanford, Mercer County Sanitation District; Jim Carpenter, MCSD; Michelle Russell, Burgin City Clerk and Dale Turner, Jr., Burgin Mayor. In attendance but not in the picture, Marilyn Eaton-Thomas, DLG.

The deadline date for submittal of applications for 2014 CDBG funding is August 1. For more information, please contact Lynn Travis Littrell or Marilyn Eaton-Thomas at (502)573-2382.
