Juniper Health Receives $500,000 Community Development Block Grant

FRANKFORT, Ky. (November 4, 2016) – The Department for Local Government (DLG) approved funding for a $500,000 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) for the Breathitt County Juniper Health Project. Funds will be used for design and construction of an approximately 27,000 square foot facility in Breathitt County.

These funds will be used to help Juniper Health to serve more clients in the area with a facility that provides HIPPA compliant clinical exam rooms, HIPPA compliant records storage, an on-site pharmacy, and dental and vision clinics.

The CDBG program provides assistance to communities for use in revitalizing neighborhoods, expanding affordable housing and economic opportunities, providing infrastructure and/or improving community facilities and services.
