The DLG Hosts 2018 County Budget Workshops
February and March Schedule Now Available
FRANKFORT, KY. (February 8, 2018) – The Department for Local Government (DLG) will be conducting a series of eight budget workshops during the months of February and March. This year will focus on the term-ending spending restrictions and requirements. All county judge/executives, magistrates, county commissioners, finance officers and treasurers are encouraged to participate in these half-day workshops and are eligible to receive 3 hours of training credit for attendance. Pre-registration is not required.
“As always these budget workshops provide local officials with the necessary knowledge and tools required for budget preparation, while reminding local officials of the statutory requirements.” said DLG Commissioner Sandra Dunahoo. “DLG is continually committed to serving our local leaders and providing the resources they need. These workshops also present a forum where many contemporary topics and issues can be addressed.”
