The Department for Local Government (DLG), under the Office of the Governor, provides financial help in the way of grant and loan assistance, as well as advising local governments in matters of budget, personnel and other issues relevant to those entities.

    The Morehead Utility Plant Board (MUPB) will be receiving $344,640 from the state’s disaster recovery fund. The grant through the Kentucky Department for Local Government is for reimbursement for flood damage expenses incurred in 2010 at the wastewater treatment plant which were not covered by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
